LIZBARÓ brand, it’s not just a fashion brand, it’s my way of living, it’s my own evolution as human being and as designer. This brand is made with love, lot of effort and a mix of cultures that along my life I’ve been lucky to know, specially India.
Designing was a part of myself since I was a child. I’m originally from Barcelona, and I remember looking for fabric pieces to make clothes for dolls, by then I was 8, I had no idea of stitching, so I used to do it with staples…hahaha, you can imagine.
By the age of 12, I really wanted to learn pattern making, I couldn’t jut stop imagining making my own flamenco dress. I didn’t want to put that extra expense on my family, so I decided making it myself just copying another skirt and leaving imagination flow to make the rest. It was my very first time with a sewing machine my mum had and she never used. I suppose it was when my parents realized I had to learn pattern making.
By age 18, I took a fashion design course, and I shifted from Barcelona to Jerez, a very beautiful city in south of Spain. I wanted to prove to myself that I could do everything by myself. So I left my comfortable life in Barcelona, and left. Honestly, it was hard, like really hard by then that wasn’t very common, nowdays is normal, but it was the best decision I could make and it was the best time of my life.
I worked for well known companies in Spain and many years for a manufacturer company in India. So, after traveling all over the world knowing many cultures, meeting very wonderful people on the way, having had the opportunity to have great experience in fashion, after so many years, I decided to go once again on my own, to create LIZBARÓ.
LIZBARÓ = turning point that mostly everybody has at one point in their life. Where you know what you want, and you can do things your own way.
KNOW HOW
Throughout my career, I’ve been able to discover and practice many techniques for garments and fabrics, so I could specialized in hand made products as well as big garment productions.
Color techniques and handmade embroideries are my greatest ability, including specific techniques for precious materiales as per gold, silver, platinum, rhodium and palladium, and so, manipulation of precious stones.
Another of my skills is the knowledge of physical properties and features of fabrics, since quality control is one of the most important parts of the fashion process.
LIZBARÓ, is created under the knowledge of many traditional techniques applied to garments, accessories and jewellery. LIZBARÓ stands out for the use of premium materials and handmade process, that makes the final product unique and exclusive.
My mission is to give personalized hats and garments its own soul.
